Defending champion New Mexico, with the same four boys who won last year, won again after a furious 1:52 anchor split between Santa Fe NM sr Michael Garcia and Sand Springs OK sr Marcus Mayes. The Stanford-bound Garcia held off the Missouri-bound Mayes as they matched strides two times around the oval.
