straight titles. The annual
trip to the Metro is a little
over a week away.
2 Alexandria 2
3= Bloomington Jefferson 3 Won the Blue Jacket
(Cambridge) with a mere 27
points. Naslund (1, 15:23),
Trump (4, 15:56), and Magee
(5, 15:57) led the way. Jags
beat a strong field at
Lakeville on 9/15 including #5
White Bear Lake, #3=
Northfield, and HM Edina.
3= Northfield 5 After a 5th place effort at
Faribault on 9/12 (behind
White Bear Lake, Eden
Prairie, Mounds View, and
Winona), the Raiders third at
Lakeville, one point behind
White Bear Lake. Three
Raiders were in the top 11 at
Lakeville: Megan Daymont,
Krista Nelson, and Molly
Gleason.
5 White Bear Lake 4 Won the Faribault Invitational
on 9/15 in a tie-breaker with
Eden Prairie. Four days
later, the Bears were defeated
by Jefferson 82-101 at
Lakeville. WBL did beat # 3
Northfield by 1.
6 Eden Prairie -- Eagles beaten in a tie-breaker
at Faribault against #5 White
Bear Lake. EP opened the
season with an impressive win
at Armstrong.
7 Wayzata 6 Handily won the Classic Lake
Quad meet last week. The
Trojans will do battle at
Mayo on Friday 9/18
8 Mounds View -- A surprising third at
Faribault over #9 Winona and
#3= Northfield.
9 Winona 8 After an early season win at
Matterhorn, the Winhawks
finished fourth at Faribault
with a win over #3= Northfield
and HM Edina.
10 Grand Rapids 7
11 St. Cloud Tech -- An early season win in the
Apollo Invitational and a 40-
point victory over Mpls.South
at the Monticello
Invitational. The Tigers are
led by Andrea Gaetz.
12= Sauk Rapids 12 The Storm finished fifth at
the Monticello Invitational
behind the runner-up finish
of Carmen Meyer.
12= Owatonna -- Finished 15th at the Faribault
Invitational.
-- Buffalo 9 Finished 8th at Monticello
Invitational. Team could
surprise in a few weeks.
-- Edina 10 The Hornets finished a strong
4th atthe Lakeville
Invitational behind three
highly ranked teams. The 1-2
punch of Ilten (7, 15:05) and
Lund (8, 15:06) led the way.
-- Little Falls 11 The Flyers have finished near
the top of each race.
IndividualsRank Runner 1 Emily Naslund, 10, Bloomington Jefferson After an easy win at the Blue
Jacket (15:23, +20),
Naslund finished 6th at the
Lakeville Invitational in
14:56.
2 Kendall Wheeler, 11, Duluth East Wheeler leads Greyhounds to
the Twin Cities in a little
over a week.
3 Megan Daymont, Northfield Wins at Dakota County (11:51,
+1), Faribault (14:27, +6) and
Lakeville (14:29, +20) serve
notice that she may be the
best at this time. Has
defeated #1 Naslund, #4
Menden, #6 Johnson, #8 Nelson,
#9= Hugstad-Vaa, #9=
Overchuck, #12=Rautmann, and
soon to be ranked again

4 Anita Menden, Eden Prairie After an opening win at
Armstrong (11:59), Menden
finished runner-up to Daymont
at Faribault after starting
slow and moving her way
through the strong field.
5 Leah Wurm, 9, Monticello The big surprise so far this
season, Wurm won at Nokomis
(15:28, +18), Apollo (14:33,
+9), and Monticello (14:52,
+10)
6= Josie Johnson, 10, Rochester Century Dropped out at Faribault due
to health reasons. She
usually improves once the
first frost comes.
6= Courtney Dauwalter, 8, Hopkins Won her opener at Matterhorn
(15:23, +7)
8 Krista Nelson, 10, Northfield Provides strong 1-2 punch with
Daymont up front. Finished
2nd at Dakota County, 4th at
Lakeville ahead of #12=
Rautmann and #1 Naslund, and a
strong top 10 effort at
Faribault.
9= Courtney Hugstad-Vaa, 10, Eastview Competed well down the stretch
to finish a strong 2nd ahead
of Dahlgren, #8 Nelson,
#12=Rautmann, #1 Naslund, and
a host of others. She is now
2-1 against Nelson. 9= Ingrid
Overchuk, Stillwater Finished
a strong 6th at Faribault.

5= Mounds View 6 Former Laker Ross Fleming
returned to his roots to
garner win at Mt. Lake over
#9 Fairmont. Mustangs
followed with win at Blue

punch of Loberg and Polson.
8 White Bear Lake 8 Bears won the prestigious
Luther Invitatonal over Iowa
power Dubuque Senior. Earlier
finished 4th at Marshfield.

9 Fairmont 9 After a 2nd at Mt. Lake, the
Cardinals won the New Ulm
Invitational over Redwood
