Belmont Boys super tough (14th title in 17 years!);
fine girls individual struggle has Valerie Flores over Natalie Stein

Birmingham boys ran without transfer Ruben Ruiz from Chatsworth, who had been running very strong lately.  There was question about his living situation (relative instead of guardian) and Coach Scott King of Birmingham held him out of the meet.

The question is how the Belmont peak will carry them through to the State Meet this coming weekend in Fresno.  Belmont’s title was their fourteenth in seventeen years, quite a tradition!!!  Girls winner Flores was second to Stein last year.
