I am Claudia Terlizzi, the Muscular Therapist for the trip to Youth World's.  
I am not a runner although I 
can maintain a sub 6 minute mile for distance.  I have been working as a 
sports therapist for US Track and 
Field at many of the National meets due to my being the chief therapist for 
the M.A.C. for the last 5 years.  
I was the chief therapist at the 1996 Olympics for Canoe, Kayak and 
Rowing(sprints)  atLake Lanier.

I am involved up to the eyeballs and I hope to continue with that involvement 
and have recently added the 
Grand Prix to my work with the US team.  I generally accompany Dr. Maharam to 
all the bigger events as 
he has asked that I be the sportsmassage therapist.

I have a private practice in New York City and am opening a practice on the 
West Coast in the Long Beach/Irvine area.  My area of expertise is in soft 
tissue injury assessment, 
prevention, and rehabilitation.  Coaches and athletes from around the country 
trust me and often call upon 
me with questions concerning their treatment and training regimens.  I also 
draw upon my own experience 
as an athlete and professional dance career to provide them with the latest 
techniques available such as 
Proprio Neuro Facilitation and Active Isolated Stretching, which has proved 
extremely useful in pre-event 
preparation.  I am also the chief therapist for the New York Marathon and the 
ellite therapy unit for the 
Boston and Rock and Roll marathons.

I am so glad to be a part of  this team becaus I have literally watche these 
kids develop over their high 
school careers and am so excited to see so many of them make this team that 
will represent the US`in 
Poland.
