Tayvon Kitchen, a freshman at BYU, ran a personal best time of 13:16.27 for third place in the men's 5,000 meters on Friday night at the Bryan Clay Invitational. 

Colin Sahlman of Northern Arizona became the eighth-fastest collegiate 800-meter runnner outdoors of all-time on Friday at the Bryan Clay Invitational when he won the elite section in 1:44.42. 

Oregon's Silan Ayyilidiz won the women's Open 800 meters in a time of 2:05.39 on Friday at the Oregon Team Invitational at Hayward Field. 

Sophie Novak of Notre Dame broke the meet record in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday night when she ran a time of 9:24.95. 

Geoffrey Kirwa of Louisville became the first collegiate man since Henry Rono to run under 8:10 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday at the Bryan Clay Invitational, running 8:08.10 at Azusa Pacific.
