1A Girls 4x100 - Celebrating a Step Early
Raft River's Nicole Harper raises her arms in celebration while Prairie's Nicole Nida (left) surges past to claim the win in the Idaho State Meet girls 1A 4x100m, scoring 10 instead of 8 points for the race. The two point differential helped Prairie win the girls 1A team title with 76 points over Lapwai's 75 points. In addition to anchoring the winning 4x100m relay, Nida won the 400m and 200m, and placed second in the 100m.

Highlights
  • 5A - Centennial High takes top spot in boys and girls PV, with Braydon Bringhurst over 15-00 and Ashley Godsey over 12-00. Highland's Taylor Farnsworth (left) nails the distance double, with 4:18.38 and 9:16.28 clockings. Meridian's Andrew Blaser rips a fast hurdles double of his own: 14.86 over the highs and 38.86 over the intermediates. Brittany Wright (Madison) takes both girls throws with 40-08 SP and 125-10 DT
  • 4A - Kuna's Kirk Miller is all over the track with wins in the 400 (49.97), the LJ (22-08.50), the TJ (45-07.00) and a 2nd in the 100 (11.22). Bethany McInturff (Century) gets the girls 800/1600 double in 2:17.63 and 5:16.56, while Century teammmate Chio Lopez gets a double of his own: 4:17.99 1600 and 9:27.73 3200. Sarah Hill Martinez (Nampa) grabs individual sprint gold in 100 (12.77) and 200 (26.23)

3A - Impressive throws double from Kaitie Poston (Bonners Ferry) 43-05 SP/143-08 DT. Other double winners include Brooke Hansen (Sugar-Salem) 12.70/26.23, Cydney Jacobsen (Bear Lake) 5:17.73/11:32.79 and Frank Lagrimanta (Timberlake) 4:29.39/9:47.68.

2A - Crazy quadruple from Ellen Rouse (Orofino) who owns the sprints (12.53/25.54) and the throws (37-07 SP/124-09 DT). Blake Skidmore (West Jefferson) records a solid two-day distance triple: 9:57.29, 1:58.28, 4:34.67. Nampa Christian girls take 3 sprint relays, 4x1 (51.86), 4x2 (1:48.28) and 4x4 (4:09.13).

1A - Nicole Nida (pictured at top of page) anchors her Prairie 4x1 team to a last-second win, and adds 12.99 100 runner-up and wins in the 200 (26.39) and 400 (1:00.51). Multiple double winners, including hurdlers Bailey Hewitt (Clark Fork) 16.12/48.13 and Anthony Beskoon (Cascade) 15.35/40.29, sprinter Mark Weller (Coeur D'Alene Charter Academy) 23.03/51.37 and distance ace Jeffrey Roy (Genesee) 1:59.94/9:58.11.




5A Distance Doublers
