Arcadia Invitational

The Arcadia Invitational is a national/international competition, with athletes traditionally flying in from as many as 27 American states and a few foreign nations.

Rather than arrange an official airline sponsor that might grant a very limited discount, we recommend purchasing your airline tickets at a better discount via the Internet. We recommend the following five online websites for securing good rates: www.Expedia.com , www.Orbitz.com, www.Travelocity.com, www.Southwest.com, and www.JetBlue.com   The first three are flight accommodation search engines while the last two are discount airlines that do not shot up on flight accommodation search engines. We highly recommend you check those two airlines directly at their website to search for their often helpful deals.

Please consider the following details when making your Arcadia Invitational travel plans:

AIRPORTS
Arcadia High School is located approximately 17 miles northeast of Downtown Los Angeles and located in proximity to five major Southern California airports:

• Los Angeles International Airport (35 miles to Arcadia HS) -- sometimes the best fares, but very busy airport
• Burbank Airport (21 miles to Arcadia HS) -- fairly small airport and among the closest to Arcadia
• John Wayne (Orange County) Airport (45 miles to AHS) -- usually a bit harder to find cheap fares here, but not always
• Ontario Airport (20 miles to Arcadia HS) -- closest to the meet and usually a smooth drive
• Long Beach Airport (35 miles to Arcadia HS) -- where discount carrier JetBlue flies into. If JetBlue services your city, it's best bet

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM SOUTHLAND AIRPORTS TO ARCADIA HS:
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): 35 miles from Arcadia High School
From LAX to Arcadia HS: Take 105 Freeway east to 605 Freeway north to 210 Freeway west. Drive four miles and exit Santa Anita and turn left. Drive 6 blocks south to Campus Dr. Make right to school.

John Wayne (Orange Country) Airport: 45 miles from Arcadia High School
From John Wayne Airport to Arcadia HS: Take 405 Freeway north to 605 Freeway north to 210 Freeway west. Drive four miles and exit Santa Anita and turn left. Drive 6 blocks south to Campus Dr. Make right to school.

Burbank Airport: 21 miles from Arcadia High School
From Burbank Airport to Arcadia HS: Take 5 Freeway south and connect to 134 Freeway east, merging onto eastbound 210 Freeway. Drive east on 210 Freeway about seven miles and exit Santa Drive and turn right. Drive 6 blocks south to Campus Dr. Make right to the school.

Ontario Airport: 20 miles from Arcadia High School
From Ontario Airport to Arcadia HS, take 10 Freeway west to 210 Freeway west toward Pasadena for approximately 15 miles. Exit Santa Anita and turn left. Drive 6 blocks south to Campus Dr. Make a right to school.

Long Beach Airport: 35 miles from Arcadia High School
From Long Beach Airport Arcadia HS, take 605 Freeway north to 210 Freeway west. Drive four miles and exit Santa Anita and turn left. Drive 6 blocks south to Campus Dr. Make right to school.

The Arcadia Invitational has secured discounted rates for guests attending the Arcadia Invitational. These discounted rates are good for athletes, coaches, parents, spectators and media. Simply ask for the contact person listed for each hotel and mention the “Arcadia Invitational rate ” when making reservations. All hotels are within one to three (1 to 3) miles of the meet location, Arcadia High School.
