Four Big Names Make Up List of Early Committed Athletes for 2018 Camel City Elite RacesBy Adam Kopet Eddie Wooten of the Greensboro News and Record reports four top athletes have committed to compete at the 2018 Camel City Elite Races. Paul Chelimo, the Olympic silver medalist and World Championships bronze medalist in the 5,000 meters will run either the 3,000 or the mile. He broke the collegiate record for the indoor mile last winter, running 3:52.01. He won 17 NCAA titles while at Oregon. Craig Engels, also a new pro, has three top-five finishes at the U.S. Olympic Trials and the USATF Outdoor Championships. He is entered in the 800 meters. Melissa Bishop-Nriagu is the two-time defending champion of the 800 meters at the Camel City Elite Races. She is coming off a fifth-place finish in the 800 at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships.
