Ross, I completely agree. In fact, I'm impressed you've come to this conclusion so quickly. You know, man, there was a time where I would have said, "No way, you must be out of your bloody mind." But after weeks of thought provoking analysis, the advice of countless experts, and 38 hours of expensive therapy, I've really come around on this one.

As the daughter of former Kansas City Chiefs legend LB Derrick Thomas, Alexa Harmon-Thomas has some serious athletic genes working for her. She could be a great one. Good luck in Ukraine.

Boys 1500 a tactical affair. They went out slower than the girls, then a 56 closer by Californian Blake Haney. Tough fall for Garret O'Toole, who still rallied for 4th, and another super finish for Grand Blanc MI soph Grant Fisher. So Haney and Fisher each go 1-2 in 3k and 1500.

We're still waiting for our official 100 results, but I can tell you for the girls showdown it was Dream 100 and NBNO champ Ky Westbrook getting the monster win over Hannah Cunliffe and Ariana Washington! She is all the way back! Tough loss for Ariana, who will look to come back and beat her rivals in the 200. Time was about 11.65, I think, into another big headwind.

For the boys, it was Kenzo Cotton from Nebraska -- the Kansas Relays champ who led prelims yesterday -- winning decisively in 10.60-something, again into a headwind.
SteveU
First field event postings of the day -- it's a double for Liberty HS throwers from Las Vegas! Standout Ashlie Blake, 2nd in the discus yesterday and a career 52-footer with the prep shot, blasted a big 58-11.50 with the lighter youth shot! Moves her way up on global youth list. And a huge runner-up throw for Lena Giger from nearby Highland IL, 56-4.5! Mike Kennedy, our pressroom expert from T&FN, says about a six foot difference between prep and youth marks, so you can figure worth about 52-x and 50-x for these gals!

Then Blake's teammate at Liberty, Reno Tuufuli, takes the boys discus (lighter also than prep) with 195-3. Very close vs. Californian Amir Ali Patter, 192-4, who was trying to add to his shot victory yesterday.
SteveU
Ok, we've gotten off to a hot start after the rain delay with some sizzling straightaway battles.

First, in the 100H, we had Dior Hall -- yesterday's prelims leader and the favorite -- zipping to a 13.53 win into a 2.2 headwind. Pretty good! Mikiah Brisco from Baton Rouge LA 2nd.

Boys 110s say Marlon Humphrey back in the driver's seat with a 13.67 into a big 3.1 wind. 2nd was Isaiah Moore from North Carolina in 13.94.
SteveU
Also, I think they finally corrected most of the listings, but still no girls 400H prelim results (there was no boys prelim, but girls had 2) and no Octathlon.

why no mention of the javelin results? Different implement? Otherwise best HS toss of year.

Didn't have a chance to post on here later yesterday, but here's a list of highlights from yesterday:

And the javelin was a lighter 700kg jav, so not US#1 for HS implement.
