Almaz Ayana To Test Herself Over Half Marathon In Delhi

According to the IAAF, Almaz Ayana will make her half marathon debut Nov. 19 at the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon.

The 25-year old Ethiopian has seen great success at 10,000 meters the past two years on the track. She won the Rio Olympics in a world record 29:17.45. She followed that up this year with another dominating win at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships.

Now Ayana will test herself at the longer half marathon distance in her first trip to India. Her last road race was seven years ago, a 10-kilometer race that saw her finish in 32:19
