On the boys side, North Hardin did win the title with 77 points. In Class 2A, the North Oldham girls and Highland boys won the team championships. In Class 1A, it was the St. Henry District girls and Fort Knox boys winning the hardware.

Top Competition: The1A boys 100 meters was a good one, with Fort Knox junior Khari Saunders edging Somerset senior Cam Cheuvront 10.89 to 10.91 into a 1.9 headwind. Those times ranked Nos. 2 and 4 in Kentucky this season.

Record-breaker: Kianna Gray continues to do things in the sprints that have not been seen in Kentucky at the high school level before. In addition to already owning the 100, 200 and 400 records with one year left before graduation, Gray is also closing in on Danielle Carruthers' 1998 100-meter hurdles record of 14.03.
