Sponsorship Opportunities - Great American XC Festival 2000

HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS

The entry process for high school teams has been closed for our September 2000 Festival. There were no team positions available, as of June 15, 2000. However, a few teams previously entered may be able to cancel, thus opening a few positions after August 1, but only teams that contacted the meet management before August 1, 2000. After August 1, 2000, the sanction process prevents the Festival from accepting any new high school teams.

Teams wishing to be considered for 2001 must send a self address stamped envelope to the festival after December 1, 2000, but no later than February 1, 2001. 95% of all teams participating in our 2001 festival will be selected in March of 2001.

HIGH SCHOOL INDIVIDUALS

Individual High School runners are accepted into our Saturday races. All individual positions for elite high school runners will be closed on August 1, 2000. No entries for individuals are considered after August 1, 2000.

High school individuals are placed in races after all team positions have been filled. Individuals will require consent of the Festival's selection committee, approval by their school and sanction by their state association.

The high school individual entry fee is $25 and includes a T-shirt.

High School individuals seeking entry should e-mail their name, school, and home telephone number to the Festival to request acceptance, and before submitting an entry form. Accepted Individuals will be notified by e-mail.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAMS

Middle School team positions for the Middle School 5K, scheduled for Friday evening, September 22, at 6:30 PM are open.

Middle School teams positions for our 2000 Festival, will remain open until all positions have been filled or until September 7, 2000, the earlier of the two to occur.

Coaches seeking Middle School Team entries should e-mail the school name, coach's name with home telephone number and address to Great American immediately.

MIDDLE SCHOOL INDIVIDUALS

Individual Middle School runners are accepted into our Middle School 5K, scheduled for Friday evening, September 22, at 6:30 PM. All individual Middle School positions will be closed on September 15, 2000. No entries for individual middle school runners will be accepted after 12 noon on Friday, September 15, 2000.

The Middle School individual entry fee is $15 and includes a T-shirt.

Individuals seeking Middle School entries should e-mail the school name, coach's name with home telephone number and address to Great American immediately.

COLLEGIATE TEAMS

Collegiate team positions for the women's 5K and men's 8K, scheduled for Friday evening, September 22, starting at 7:30 PM are open.

Collegiate teams positions for our 2000 Festival will remain open until all positions have been filled or until September 7, 2000, the earlier of the two to occur.

MUD RUN

Men, women, children of all ages are invited to participate in the nation's first ever mud run, to be held at 1:15 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2000. The mud run will be ran in two sections; the first will be for youth under the age of 14. The second section will be open for all runners of any age.

Runners with race numbers who have raced in a previous race can run in the mud run free and do not need to enter.

Runners in which the mud run will be their first run of the festival, primarily youth runners must enter the mud run by completing the downloadable entry form. The entry fee for the mud run, by runners who have not entered another race, is $12 with T-shirt.

OPEN ADULTS

The Open Adult 5K is scheduled for Saturday morning, September 23, 2000 at 7:30 PM.

The Adult entry fee is $20 and includes a T-shirt.
