Joseph Anderson, Upland, Sophomore -- Set a state indoor sophomore record by clocking 7.94 seconds to win the Simplot Games championship. His time is the fastest by a 10th-grader in the country this year and No. 8 overall.

Drew Xandrine Anderson, Stuart Hall, Senior -- In his indoor debut, he captured the triple jump title at Simplot Games with a leap of 46 feet, 8 3/4 inches.

Darius Carbin, Mount Pleasant, Junior -- Cleared 6 feet, 9 inches to prevail in the high jump at Simplot Games. His mark is equal to the No. 11 height in the country.

Tara Davis, Agoura, Sophomore -- Had lifetime-best 19 feet, 10 inches in the long jump to prevail at Simplot Games after winning the long jump and triple jump at the California state indoor championships. Davis' mark is second this year to the 20-1 1/2 produced by Kate Hall of Lake Region, Maine at the Rhode Island Classic.

Jasmyne Graham, Roosevelt, Senior -- Won the Simplot Games title in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.41 seconds, the national leader until Tonea Marshall of Sequin, Texas clocked 8.39 at the University of Kentucky Invitational.

Brandon Hasson, Carson, Senior -- Only athlete to win three gold medals at Simplot Games, winning the 200 meters in 21.61 seconds -- No. 9 in the country this year -- along with leading New Image Training Club to victories in the 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relays.

Tyler Merkley, Los Osos, Senior -- Rallied on his final attempt to win the weight throw at Simplot Games with a lifetime-best mark of 73 feet, 8 1/2 inches, which is No. 4 in state history and fourth in the country this year.

Greg Vann, Rio Mesa, Senior -- Produced a leap of 24 feet, 3 3/4 inches at Simplot Games to win the long jump title, posting the No. 3 mark in the country this year. Also won state indoor title.

Lauren Rain Williams, Oaks Christian, Sophomore -- Equaled the No. 2 time in the country this year in the 60-meter dash by running 7.40 seconds to win the Simplot Games gold medal.

Carolyn Wilson, Oaks Christian Track Club, Sophomore -- Was the fastest American and finished second overall in the 400 meters at Simplot Games, clocking 55.47, the No. 9 time in the country this year. Victoria Tachinski won in a Canadian Youth record 54.05.
