The Arcadia Invitational and Taco Bell Classic caused wholesale changes atop the national leaderboard this week. Here are the nominees for top DyeStat Performance in the week ending April 12.

Ben Barrett, Norman North OK: He became the first Oklahoman to go sub-9 in the 3,200 with his 14th place finish and 8:57.97 at Arcadia.

 

Daloria Boone, Baldwin GA: Freshman leaped a new US#1 of 20-4 at the Taco Bell Classic in South Carolina. 

 

Ryan Clark, Banneker GA: Ran US#1 10.32 and tied the national best in the 200 with 20.71 at the Taco Bell Classic in South Carolina.

 

Jordyn Colter, Cherry Creek CO: Ran US#1 4:45.24 in the mile and then doubled back for US#3 2:09.80 in the 800 meters at the Arcadia Invitational.

 

Jasmyne Graham, Roosevelt CA: Ran a meet-record and national-leading 13.21 in the 100-meter hurdles at Arcadia, which is fourth all-time in the state and No. 6 in U.S. prep history.

 

Candace Hill, Rockland County GA: Ran a new US#1 23.49 in the 200 on top of 11.62 in the 100 at the Taco Bell Classic in South Carolina.

 

Dani Jones, Desert Vista AZ: Broke the Arizona all-time state best in the 3,200 with 10:09.58 victory at Arcadia and also split 4:46.10 in the 4x1,600.

 

Matt Katnik, St. John Bosco CA: Produced a lifetime-best 71-3.50 in the shot put to win Arcadia Invitational gold, No. 2 in meet history and third-best in state history.

 

Lyndsey Lopes, Clovis West CA: She won the Arcadia Invitational heptathlon with 4,984 points. 

 

Malik McMorris, Mater Dei CA: He won the discus at Arcadia with national-leading 194-8  throw.

 

Michael Norman, Vista Murrieta CA: A huge weekend at Arcadia included US#1 45.91 in 400 meters for No. 10 in state history and was a huge cog in Vista Murrieta's 4x100 (US#1 40.68) and 4x200 (US#2 1:24.53) relays wins, plus a runner-up finish in the 4x400 (US#7 3:14.69).

 

Chinne Okoronkwo, Mountlake Terrace WA: She won the Arcadia Invitational triple jump wtih 40-11.75, the farthest wind-legal jump in the nation this year.

 

Allie Ostrander, Kenai Central AK: Running at the Big C Relays at the Dome in Anchorage, she ran US#1 9:59.33 to break her own state record in the 3,200. 

 

Corey Reid, Carson City NV: Won the Arcadia Invitational decathlon with 7,191 points, a new all-time Nevada record.

 

Jesse Reiser, McHenry IL: He won the biggest race of the night at Arcadia, the famed 3,200 meters. He led 18 boys across the line under nine minutes and outsprinted the top contenders to the finish line to clock US#1 8:52.00.

 

John Rice, Xavier NY: Ran 9:35.10 to establish a new US#1 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Mayor's Cup in New York City.

 

Mikaela Smith, Clovis North CA: Completed an undefeated career at Arcadia with her second straight 800-meter title in U.S. No. 2 2:08.44. She and her 4x800 teammates -- Lauren Lienau, Lauren Moffett and Camilla Hanson -- also ran US#1 9:08.34.

 

Infinite Tucker, Huntington NY: At the Taco Bell Classic, he ran a US#1 time of 54.47 in the 400-meter hurdles.

 

Deakin Volz, Bloomington South IN: He jumped 17-7 in a dual meet last week, breaking his own Indiana all-time record and moving into a tie for No. 15 all-time U.S. 

 

Hannah Waller, Buchanan CA: Got a huge PR when she clocked U.S. No. 2 53.57 in 400 meters at Arcadia.

 

Ja'Mari Ward, Cahokia IL: At the Belleville West Invitational, he won the long jump with US#2 24-10 and the triple jump with US#1 51-11.. He also anchored the winning 4x100 relay and split 48.6 on the 4x400.

 

Lexi Weeks, Cabot AR: Jumped a new US#1 and No. 3 all-time 14-1.25 in the pole vault at the John McConnell Invitational in Arkansas.

 

Lauren Rain Williams, Oaks Christian CA: Ran a wind-aided 11.42 in 100, No. 4 nationally under all conditions, and a wind-legal U.S. No. 2 23.57 in the 200 as part of three gold medals at Arcadia. She anchored the 4x100 relay to a US#1 as well.

 

Chad Zallow, Kennedy OH: The senior hurdler swept his events at the Arcadia Invitational, running US#1 13.50 and US#5 37.06.

 

 

Relays not represented elsewhere: 

 

Dana Hills boys CA: The 4 x 1,600 relay -- Jack Landgraf, Colin Stein, Mason Coppi and Jake Ogden -- ran US#1 17:15.78 at Arcadia. With Diego Southard in the lineup, they also won the distance medley relay in US#1 time of 10:06.73.

 

Great Oak girls CA 4 x 1,600 relay -- Destiny Collins, Kiyena Beatty, Evelyn Mandel and Sydney Belus -- set a state record with a 19:58.71, the No. 5 time in U.S. prep history at Arcadia. With Taylor Lawson and Ally Talpash in the lineup, Great Oak also ran US#1 11:49.59 in the distance medley relay.

 

Los Alamitos boys CA: The Sprint Medley Relay quartet of Brandon Douglas, Manuel Gomez, Andrew Carty and Thomas Heib lowered their US#1 to 3:27.64 at Arcadia.

 

Los Alamitos girls CA: The Sprint Medley Relay foursome of Sara Limp, Anijah Green, Ashley Willingham and Katie Izzo set an Orange County record with a national-leading 3:58.63 to win at Arcadia.
