Run of the Week poll - Sept. 13

 

Cross country is in full swing all across the nation so we're going to round up some of the best runs each weekend and vote on the best of the best. We've got 14 runners selected this weekend. Go ahead and vote for two and if you voted for an "other" runner let us know who it was in the comments. 

 

Here is a little background on the runners in this week's poll:

 

Ben Petrella of Liverpool ran 15:58.2 to post the fastest time of the day at the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Invitational. 

 

Aidan Tooker of Saratoga Springs NY ran 15:11.68 to win the Springstead (Shaker) Invitational. 

 

Garek Bielaczyc of SLC East UT dropped a 15:04.6 at the Murray Invitational for a 42-second victory.

 

Kevin Salvano of Buffalo Grove IL ran 14:22.2 for the fastest time at Detweiler Park in the First to the Finish in Illinois.

 

Paul Roberts of Lyons CO ran 15:18 to win at the St. Vrain Invitational in Lyons, Colo. 

 

Julien Magallanes of Borden IN ran 15:14.19 for the win at the Brown County Eagle Invitational. 

 

Alexander Hirsch of Burbank Burroughs CA ran 14:50.11 for three miles at the Rosemead Invitational.

 

Allie Chipman of Mountain Vista CO broke a course record with 17:55 at the St. Vrain Invitational.

 

Lauren Gregory of Fort Collins CO ran 17:39 to dominate the competition at the Liberty Bell Invitational in Colorado.

 

Taylor Werner of Ste. Genevieve MO returned to the top of the podium at the Forest Park XC Festival with a 17:38.8 for 5K in St. Louis.

 

Michelle Magnani of Moorpark CA ran 16:45.7 to win the senior class flighted race at the Seaside Invitational.

 

Sophie Whicher of Minnetonka MN won the Nike Pre-Heartland in South Dakota by running 17:52.82 and won by 43 seconds. 

 

Abbey Wheeler of Elmira NY won the Mountaineer Flatlander Invitational in Pennsylvania with a sizzling time of 17:22 for 5,000 meters. 

 

Judy Pendergast of Naperville North IL ran the fourth-fastest time ever at Detweiler Park with 16:18.9 at the First to the Finish Invitational.
