Run Of The Week Poll (11/17)

 

It was another tremendously busy week with state meets, the first three NXN regionals and CIF section prelims. Here are the candidates for Run of the Week. You can select two! Thanks.

 

Stephanie Jenks, unattached (Linn-Mar IA): She made her season debut with a victory in the NXN Heartland regional championship in 17:01.3.

 

Jaret Carpenter, Wazata MN: He won the NXN Heartland boys race in 14:58.8.

 

Jon Davis, Oakwood IL: He won the NXN Midwest title in 14:59.9 at Terre Haute, Ind.

 

Judy Pendergast, Naperville North IL: She broke Anna Rohrer’s course record at LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute in 17:00.6 to win NXN Midwest.

 

Annie Hill, Glacier MT: She won the NXN Northwest girls championship race in 17:31.1.

 

Brody Smith, Cody WY: He won the NXN Northwest boys championship race in 15:23.6.

 

Claire Walters, Fayetteville-Manlius NY: The eighth grader ran 17:53.5 and held off Jessica Lawson to win the Class A race for the top-ranked F-M girls.

 

Ben Petrella, Liverpool NY: He led Liverpool to the Class A state title with a CR 15:43 on the tough Monroe Woodbury course.

 

DJ Principe, La Salle: He ran the second-fastest time ever at Thetford, 15:48.4, to win the New Englands XC title.

 

Hannah DeBalsi, Staples CT: She won her third New Englands crown with 18:20.9.

 

Andrew Hunter, Loudoun Valley VA: He ran 15:03 at Great Meadow for his third state championship.

 

Weini Kelati, Heritage VA: She ran 17:22 to win her first Virginia 4A state title.

 

Alyssa Aldridge, Mainland NJ: She ran the fastest time at Holmdel Park, with 18:13 to win Group 3.

 

Matt Grossman, Millburn NJ: He ran 15:32 for the Group 4 title, tied for 14th fastest ever at Holmdel Park.

 

Eric Walz, Dulaney MD: He led his team to its first state title in 32 years with his win in 16:06 at Hereford.

 

Hayley Jackson, Patuxent MD: She ran a course record 18:23.6 to win the Class 2A race at the Maryland state championships.

 

Paul Barlow, Auburn AL: He used a late kick to win the Class 7A title at Oakville Indian Mounds in 15:30.6.

 

Amaris Tyynismaa, Montgomery Catholic AL: The ninth grader won her second Alabama 4A title with 17:52.3 – fastest of the day at the Alabama state meet.

 

Kevin Murray, Charter of Wilmington DE: He ran 15:20.6 to lead his team to the title at the Delaware state meet (Div 1).

 

Keelin Hays, Tatnall DE: The freshman ran 17:58 to win the Delaware Div 2 championship at Killens Pond State Park.

 

Garrett Reynolds, Ventura CA: He ran 14:44.3 to win the Division 1 boys race at the CIF Southern Section Prelims.

 

 

Chloe Arriaga, Walnut: The freshman ran 16:51.0 to win the Division 1 girls race at the CIF Southern Section Prelims.
