Performance of the Week Poll, Feb. 1, 2016

 

Here are the nominees for the DyeStat Performance of the Week poll. (Last week's winner was Gabrielle Wilkinson with 39.25 percent). Lots of Virginians represented on this week's list. You can vote for two! Thanks.

 

Drew Hunter, Loudoun Valley VA: He became the first prep to dip under eight minutes indoors for 3,000 meters, finishing in 7:59.33 against pros at the Camel City Elite Races in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Weini Kelati, Heritage VA: She ran strong early and held on late to run 9:19.99 for the fourth-fastest time ever by a prep girl in the 3,000 meters at the Camel City Elite Races.

Grant Holloway, Grassfield VA: Another standout performance at the Virginia Tech High School Invitational saw him jump 25-11.50 for No. 3 all-time in the long jump. He also ran a nation-leading time of 6.22 seconds in the 55-meter dash.

Jordan Geist, Knoch PA: At the TSTCA meet in Edinboro PA, he moved to No. 5 all-time with a huge throw of 71-2.50 in the shot put. 

Noah Lyles, TC Williams VA: He zoomed to No. 3 all-time with 33.18 in the 300 meters at the Virginia Tech High School Invitational.

Kate Murphy, Lake Braddock VA:  She broke the Virginia state record for the indoor mile with 4:43.87 at the Camel City Elite Races.

Josephus Lyles, TC Williams VA: He ran No. 6 all-time 33.26 in the 300 meters at the Virginia Tech High School Invitational.

Thomas Ratcliffe, Concord-Carlisle MA: He ran a US#1 time of 2:27.30 in the 1,000 meters at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Casey Clinger, American Fork UT: The junior won the 1,600 meters at the Utah High School Coaches Association Championships in 4:10.57.

Anna Cockrell, Providence Day NC: She ran 8.24 in the 60 hurdles against a pro field at the Camel City Elite Races.

Matt Bouthillette, La Salle RI: He won the boys 2-mile at the Ocean Breeze High School Invitational with 9:05.48.

Gannon Willcutts, Western Albemarle VA: He won the boys 3,200 meters at Virginia Tech with 9:05.49.

Maxwell Willis, Archbishop Carroll DC: He ran 33.51 for third place in the 300 meters (No. 11 all-time) and anchored his team to a US#1 time of 3:18.71 at Virginia Tech.

Aislinn Devlin, Downingtown West PA: She won the girls 2-mile at the Ocean Breeze High School Invitational in 10:43.30.
