By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor

Trey Cunningham of Winfield AL crushed the national high school record in the indoor 60-meter hurdles Friday at the Last Chance Invitational at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Cunningham skimmed over the hurdles to the tune of 7.49 seconds – beating the 7.57 of Donovan Robertson of Berea OH at the 2012 Brooks PR Meet in Seattle. RESULTS

Cunningham, a senior bound for Florida State in the fall, had already run 7.59 this season Jan. 16 at the MLK Indoor Classic.

Cunningham owns an outdoor 110-meter hurdles PR of 13.35, which he ran April 30 at his sectional championships. He went on to finish second in the event at New Balance Nationals Outdoor.
