Crouser Set to Square Off Against Walsh in Trio of Contests in New ZealandPublished by

According to Athletics New Zealand, reigning Olympic champion Ryan Crouser has confirmed entry into a trio of competitions against New Zealand's Olympic bronze medalist Tom Walsh. Added to the mix are two-time World Indoor champion Ryan Whiting and fellow Olympians Jacko Gill and Damien Birkinhead. The quintet of star power plans to compete at three meets in February: February 19 - Big Shot and Fast K What makes the head-to-head matchups involving Crouser and Walshall all the more special is that the top track and field stars rarely square off more than a time or two each season – think of how often Bolt versus Gatlin has happened over the past three years. Three competitions over the course of a week should provide some incredible excitement, especially with home country crowds cheering on Walsh and Gill.
