Keni Harrison Back to Hurdling After SurgeryPublished by
After Having Surgery on Her Broken Wrist, Keni Harrison is Back to HurdlingBy Adam Kopet, DyeStat Editor Just before the 100-meter hurdles May 5 at the Doha Diamond League meeting, Keni Harrison broke her wrist while crashing into a hurdle during warm-ups. Despite the pain, especially in the starting blocks, Harrison powered through and won the race in 12.59 just off her season best set a week earlier at the Drake Relays. A week after her Doha performance, Harrison was back at home in Kentucky having surgery to repair the damage to her wrist. And now, according to her Twitter, she was back to hurdling just five days after her surgery. In the video, Harrison is wearing a protective cast on her arm, but she otherwise looks herself over the hurdles. It is unknown when Harrison will next race, but the June 22-25 USATF Outdoor Championships will certainly be in her future as she attempts to make Team USA for the IAAF World Championships in London.
