Here are summaries of the semifinal meets:

WEST REGIONAL FINAL

Chandler CA 83, DeSoto TX 52

When Chandler outlasted DeSoto 68-67 in last year's regional final, the Wolves relied on a nine-point margin in the field events to rally for the dramatic victory after the Texas UIL 6A champions swept both relays en route to an eight-point advantage on the track. In the rematch, even after being swept in the relays again, Chandler still edged DeSoto by a six-point margin in the 10 track events and dominated the field competition to outscore the Fighting Eagles 39-14 to return to the national championship. The only field event win for DeSoto came from Taylor Armstrong in the high jump, with Samantha Ponds sweeping the shot put and discus for Chandler to go along with Jai Gruenwald winning the long jump, Tiana Poirier-Shelton capturing the triple jump and Raven Jordan prevailing in the pole vault. Although Jada Laye, Rosaline Effiong and Bryannia Murphy had the edge in the sprints for the Fighting Eagles against Chandler veteran Anaya Bailey, the Arizona Division 1 champions were again impressive in the distance races. Although the Wolves didn't quite match their sweep of the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 from last season, victories by Morgan Foster helped Chandler accumulate 24 of a possible 27 points after the teams split the scoring in the hurdles races.

EAST REGIONAL FINAL

Miami Northwestern FL 73, Western Branch VA 54

After surviving another close quarterfinal battle with Union Catholic NJ, Miami Northwestern again elevated its performance against a quality Western Branch lineup to not only return to the finals, but create an opportunity to repeat as national champions. The Bulls only held a 42-40 margin on the track and split the relays against the Virginia 6A champions, but it was the strength and depth of throwers Chanel Dawson, Kaylah Clark, Alyssa Richard and Shamayi Cornelius who had the biggest impact for the Florida 3A winners, accounting for 18 crucial points with their sweeps of the shot put and discus. Western Branch had wins in the 100 hurdles and triple jump from Jada Terrell, the 1,600 by Devonya Brown and high jump from freshman Joellen Driscoll, but not even a 4x100 relay victory by Jessica Tucker, Dajah-Parker Love, Inayah Boone and Shadajah Ballard  –  the only loss in the event for the Bulls in the tournament  –  could help the Bruins overcome the combined track performances of Twanisha Terry, Ulani Toussaint, Ayoola Gbolade, Nina Burgos and Markalah Hart for Miami Northwestern, which posted an 82-54 victory over Cheltenham PA in last year's regional final.
