Junior Stars Set to Compete at 2017 Pan American Junior ChampionshipsBy Adam Kopet, DyeStat Editor Some of the brightest future stars are set to compete for the United States at the Pan American Junior Championships next week in Trujillo, Peru. USATF announced Friday the team of 84 athletes going to the championships next week. Top high school athletes going include Tara Davis (Agoura CA), Tyrese Cooper (Miami Norland FL), Jordan Geist (Knoch PA), Adrian Piperi (The Woodlands TX) and Tia Jones (George Walton Comprehensive GA). From the collegiate ranks, Taylor Werner (Arkansas), Brandee' Johnson (Florida), Michelle Magnani (Oklahoma State) and Alec Haines (Oklahoma State) are set to compete. The Pan American Junior Championships will also be Josephus Lyles' first time in a USA uniform since he won World Youth medals in the 200 and 400 meters at the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships.
