USATF Sends 136 Athletes to World ChampionshipsPublished by
USATF Announces Team for World Championships in LondonBy Adam Kopet, DyeStat Editor USATF released the roster for the IAAF World Outdoor Championships in London on Monday. The roster currently stands at 136 athletes strong, including four reigning world champions and eight Rio Olympic champions. In all, there are 39 world and Olympic medalists set to compete in London. The four returning world champions include Tianna Bartoletta in the women's long jump, Allyson Felix in the women's 400 meters, Joe Kovacs in the men's shot put and Christian Taylor in the men's triple jump. Additional athletes who have not met the qualifying standard may be included after invitations are sent out by the IAAF for events that have not reached target field size. More news |
