Greensboro City Councils Votes 9-0 to Provide $200,000 Toward New Balance Nationals Outdoor EventBy Adam Kopet Margaret Moffett for the Winston-Salem Journal reports that the Greensboro City Council will provide $200,000 toward New Balance Nationals Outdoor at North Carolina A&T. The support will be provided through the Greensboro Sports Commission over five years, assuming the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation continues to host an event in Greensboro. The current plan is for the council to hold hearings each year before the year's $40,000 is awarded. The 2018 edition of New Balance Nationals Outdoor is scheduled for June 15-17 at North Carolina A&T. |
