Girls Regional Rankings - 11/2/17

State meets are under way and playing a significant role in regional rankings this week.

Johnston IA returns to the Heartland top five after a strong performance at the Iowa state meet. Zionsville IN and Eagle ID also move into the top five in the Midwest and Northwest, respectively, after winning state meets.

The Northeast region had the biggest movement this week with Oakland Catholic PA entering the top five and taking over the No. 2 spot. Middletown South NJ and Colts Neck NJ also enter the top five thanks to strong performances.

Battle Mountain CO moves back to the No. 2 spot in the Southwest after winning the Class 4A crown at the Colorado state championships, jumping ahead of Class 5A second-place finisher Broomfield CO.

There are 22 state meets taking place this weekend. As teams make the push into the postseason, the teams focusing on the Nike Cross Regional races will begin to move to the forefront.
