Crisp takes down Haley's record, which stood since 1987

Texas Tech junior Vincent Crisp made history in a seldom-contested event Friday at the Red Raider Indoor Invitational.

Crisp set the collegiate indoor 600-yard record by clocking 1 minute, 8.16 seconds, taking down the 1987 record of 1:08.26 set by Arkansas' Roddie Haley.

Texas Christian sophomore Derrick Mokaleng also ran faster than the previous mark, finishing second in 1:08.18.
