NEW YORK – March 5, 2018 - The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation (NSAF) today announced that the inaugural Induction Ceremony for the National High School Track and Field Hall of Fame, which is being staged Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the New York Athletic Club, will be broadcast live on USATF.TV at 7:40 p.m. EST. The ceremony will take place on the eve of the New Balance Nationals Indoor Championships at the Armory in New York City. More than 20 of the Hall of Fame’s inaugural class, including Mary Decker Slaney, Allyson Felix and Alan Webb will be in attendance. “The National High School Track & Field Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is shaping up to be one of the most exciting events of year in our sport,” said James Spier, Executive Director of NSAF. “I can’t think of a better way to kick off the 2018 New Balance Nationals Indoor Championships weekend than with a momentous celebration honoring high school track and field’s finest student athletes, coaches and contributors.” The special USATF.TV webcast will air a live broadcast of the full induction ceremony and more. The Hall of Fame celebration will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the induction ceremony at 7:40 p.m. honoring an inaugural class of 30 legends of track and field, spanning more than 100 years of the sport.
