USC sprinters shine at Power Five Trailblazer Challenge

By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor

Freshman Twanisha Terry and senior Deanna Hill of USC put eye-popping times on the board in the 100-meter dash at the USC Power Five Trailblazer Challenge on Saturday at Loker Stadium.

With a 3.5 tailwind at their backs, Terry ran 10.97 seconds and Hill 10.98, the first time in NCAA Division 1 history two teammates ran under 11 seconds in the same regular-season race under all conditions.

The Trojans also turned in some fast times in the 4x100 relays. The women ran 43.18 for the sixth-fastest time in school history. And the men ran 38.88 for the fourth-fastest time in USC history.

Michael Norman, the indoor world record holder in the 400 meters, ran a wind-legal time of 20.37 seconds in the 200 meters, in addition to contributing to the 4x100 victory.

"Going into outdoor season I just want to re-load and continue on this healthy path," Norman said.
