On the women's side, Ethiopia's Genzebe Dibaba won the 2,000 meters by nearly 10 seconds in 5:27.73. That is the fourth-fastest time ever run, but just off Dibaba's personal-best 5:27.50.
Marie Josee' Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast won the 100 meters in 10.95.
