Flash Flood Delays Start
At 8 am Saturday, when the first HS race was scheduled to start, the entire area
around the starting line (above) and finish lines was under water as all night
rains caused a nearby creek to overflow its banks. The flooding threw the
runners, coaches, meet management and fans into a turmoil, as the pictures below
show.
