OK Kevin Bookout has a monster day at the Cushing Invitational Tuesday 4/3 --  215-0 SR and 68-7 SP.  But look at the series:
Discus: 206-6, 204-8, 215-0, 214-8
Shot: 66-4, 68-2, 68-7, 67-10
And the Stroud OK thrower, US#1 in shot put in 2000 DyeStat Elite rankings at 67-11.5, is only a junior.  

AL Mobile Meet of Champions features great sprint matchups
Late entries have set up elite matchups in boys and girls 400 meters and boys 100/200 meters at Mobile AL Saturday 4/7.

Boys 400: Ashton Collins LA 46.29 last Saturday, Ahmad Jasmine LA 47.44 PR, Jonathan Fortenberry  GA 47.59, and Xavier Carter FL 47.74.  
Girls 400: Janice Davis MS 52.92 PR, Stephanie Smith GA 52.64, and Christy Fairly MS 53.57.
Boys 100/200:  freshman phenoms Michael Grant GA and Jerald Watson LA.  Watson set a national freshman record at 60 meters indoors at NSIC in New York last month.

The National Scholastic Sports Foundation's outdoor championship in June at Raleigh has a new name:  adidas Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Overlooked Accomplishment
Lost in the hubbub over Alan Webb, Atlantic boys, and Rockford girls at NIC was the accomplishment of a 98-pound freshman from Tallahassee FL - Ryan Deak. We talked to Ryan after he set a new
