The Central Catholic XC Team is getting warmed up for a big Cross Country season. We have been doing two workouts a week as a team and then running a lot by ourselves or in smaller groups.
We have been doing pretty basic stuff like tempo runs, repeat 2 minute on 2 off 1 on 1 off, hill repeats (600, 400, 300)X 3 and long intervals. We are going to our cross country camp on the 15th of August, it's a really great time. The team runs, swims and plays frisbee.
There are some really cool places to run in Bend and it's nice to have ten days to get in some solid training at 3000-4000 Feet. Our coaches have us doing a lot of general strength ( sit ups, pushups, leg lifts, rocket jumps) we do these drills every day and it strengthens your core and entire body.
