Sloan Wasserman Runs Impressive Mile/2-Mile Double At The Armory By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor ArmoryTrack Photo Lauren Virmani of River Hill MD moved to the lead in the final 200 meters and defeated Sloan Wasserman of John Jay CR NY on Saturday in one of the featured events of the Refuel with Chocolate Milk Officials Hall of Fame Invitational at The Armory. Virmani hit the finish line tape in US#7 4:55.33 for the win and Wasserman was right behind in US#8 4:55.54. Wasserman was doubling back from the 2-mile, which she won to start the day in 10:40.15 for US#4. Samson Palmer of Charlottesville VA made the trip north and won the boys mile in 4:13.84 for US#7. Kennan Byers of Randolph NJ was second in 4:14.77 with Victor Dalgado of Hendrick Hudson NY third in the exact same time. Connor Polen from Newark Academy NJ won the boys 1,000 meters in 2:29.47 for US#6. Union Catholic NJ's Keandre Kelly won the boys 600 meters in US#10 1:21.22. Lilly Ascone from Williamsville East NY won the girls 600 in 1:33.94 for US#5. Marella Virmani of River Hill MD was second in US#9 1:35.00. Melia Kupchanko from Williamsville North NY took the win in the girls 1,000 with US#6 2:52.54. Hackensack NJ moved to US#3 on the boys 4x800 list with its victory in 8:01.93. Kingston NY won the girls Distance Medley Relay in a US#5 time of 12:27.77.
