Bruner Jr., Niwot Boys, Rossilli, Zhmailo Bring Intrigue on Track and in Field April 3-4 at Hayward Field

By Maddie Mooney

EUGENE – The top high school boys descend upon Eugene this weekend to compete in the sprints, throws, jumps, distance races and everything in between at the Oregon Relays Presented by AthleticNET. Top storylines include rivalry matchups and records on-watch, which are all previewed below with ten boys to watch April 3-4.

Eddie Bruner Jr. (Sr., Lincoln Tacoma, WA) - 200m / 400m

Mississippi State commit Bruner Jr. will be the one to beat at the 2026 rendition of the Oregon Relays. Bruner dominated the indoor season as the fastest prep over 200m indoors. His time of 20.71 seconds ranked him US #7 all-time for high school boys. Bruner also has speed over 400m, as he claimed the 2025 3A WIAA State Championship title and was the USATF Junior Olympic Champion in the event. He will be one to watch in both events at the Oregon Relays.

Wyland Obando (Sr., Wilson Long Beach, CA) - 800m

The 2025 Oregon Relays 800m Champion is back to defend his title! Obando, also a Mississippi State commit, will race to reclaim his 800m crown. He boasts a personal best of 1:49.67 and has been building up the momentum throughout the indoor season, competing in both the 400m and 800m at Nike Indoor Nationals.

Mana Voss (Jr., Central Kitsap, WA) - 800m

Voss looks to improve on last year's silver medal in the 800m at Oregon Relays, meaning we will have an exciting battle to break the tape with both of our top two finishers from 2025 returning. Voss holds a personal best of 1:51.41, and he runs the 800m from a strength perspective, as Voss was also the 2025 3A WIAA Cross Country champion.

Quinn Sullivan (Jr., Niwot, CO) - Mile

After a terrific indoor campaign, finishing seventh in the mile and fourth in the 800m at Nike Indoor Nationals, Sullivan will line up for the mile in Eugene at the Oregon Relays. His 4:06.42 mile personal best was run earlier this month, showing Sullivan has positive momentum on the track right now and is ready to keep chipping down that time.

Hunter Robbie (Sr., Niwot, CO) - Mile

The boys of Niwot are looking to make a statement in the mile this weekend, and Robbie is jumping in on the action. Robbie shines over the distance track events, and is looking to improve upon his 13th place finish at the meet last year. Robbie has dropped almost six seconds in the mile race since 2025, now holding a 4:11.10 personal best, so keep your eye on this Duke-commit on Friday night.

Rocco Culpepper (Sr., Niwot, CO) - 800m / Mile

Fresh off earning All-American indoor status in the mile, Culpepper is on a mission this year at the Oregon Relays. Culpepper will line up in both the 800m and mile in Eugene. The 8-time CHSAA State Champion holds a blistering personal best of 4:02.24 for the mile, and will be on the hunt for the crown. This will be Culpepper’s first appearance at the Oregon Relays, and he looks to come out swinging.

Sutton Flint (Sr., Liberty Issaquah, WA) - 110m Hurdles

This future Iowa Hawkeye is ready to run a blistering time at the Oregon Relays in the 110m hurdles. Flint is always up for a challenge, appearing on hurdle starting lines at all the best meets across the nation. The senior dominated his 2025 outdoor campaign, winning the WIAA State Championships, placing fifth at the USATF U20 National Championships and eighth at the 2025 Nike Outdoor Nationals. Oregon Relays is a major stepping stone for Flint to assert his dominance on the rest of the country over the 110m hurdle event.

Simon Rosselli (Sr., Mead, WA) - Discus / Shot Put

The crowd will be loud for Washington thrower Rosselli, because come this fall, Hayward Field will be Rosselli’s home stadium. The future Duck currently sits at US #1 for high school boys in the shot put, where he threw 61’ 0” just last weekend. His strongest event though is the discus. Rosselli finished fourth in the event at the USATF U20 National Championships last summer and ended the season ranked as the US#3 prep. Safe to say Rosselli is on a mission for gold in Eugene. Can Rosselli pull off the double and walk away with both titles?

Luke Barrick (Sr., Onalaska, WA) - Pole Vault

The Idaho State-bound senior is sure to bring fans an exciting show in the pole vault. With only one outdoor meet under his belt so far this season, Barrick already has a shiny new outdoor personal best of 16-1. He looks to inch closer to his indoor best of 17-0 and has a chip on his shoulder after a sixth place finish at the meet last year. The current meet record of 16-6.75 could be in jeopardy if Barrick has a great day.

Yevhen Zhmailo (Sr., Lake Washington, WA) - Triple Jump / Long Jump

It's been an incredible start to 2026 for Zhmailo, who opened his 2026 campaign by setting the US high school triple jump national record indoors at The Podium. Zhmailo then finished second at Nike Indoor Nationals in the triple jump and enters this outdoor season on a mission to be crowned national champion. The University of Oklahoma-bound senior will be the one to beat in both the long jump and triple jump events at this year’s Oregon Relays. He looks to improve upon his two silvers from last year and head home to Washington with two shiny golds instead.
