The last time Kodiak AK senior Trevor Dunbar was
seen powering around the rolling 5-kilometer layout at Fernhill Park in
Portland, Oregon, he was a newly-minted Alaska state champion and a
relatively unknown sophomore attempting to steal a race from the
locals. Central Catholic OR’s Taylor Morgan—an 800 meter state champ with low-1:50 wheels—caught Dunbar in the waning moments of that 2006 Adidas Classic race and went on to victory, though Dunbar’s runner-up finish led his
