El Paso Community College TX freshman Gideon Cheplak won the men's 8-kilometer race at the UC Riverside Highlander Invitational at the Ag-Ops course in Riverside, Calif. Cheplak clocked 24:24.3, helping El Paso place fifth with 136 points, the top performance by any two-year college in the competition.
