Samantha McDonnell, an Alabama-bound senior at Newbury Park High in California, won the girls varsity 3-mile individual title at the Marmonte League championship meet at Agoura High. McDonnell clocked 17:10.63 for the Panthers, who had five scorers in the top eight to capture the team crown and advance to the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 prelims Nov. 13 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
