Colin Sahlman, a Northern Arizona-bound senior at Newbury Park High in California, led a Panthers sweep of the top five spots in the boys varsity 3-mile race at the Marmonte League championship meet at Agoura High. Sahlman clocked 15:06.51, followed by Lex Young in 15:06.75, Leo Young running 15:06.77 and Aaron Sahlman finishing in 15:06.93, with Daniel Appleford completing the perfect score of 15 points with his effort of 15:10.96 for Newbury Park, which advanced to the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 prelims Nov. 13 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
