Brooke Andersen, a Nike professional athlete, placed second in the women's weight throw final with an opening-round mark of 79-10.75 (24.35m) at the USATF Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Andersen finished runner-up for the second year in a row behind the top two weight throw competitors in global history in DeAnna Price and Erin Reese.
