Emily Lipari, representing adidas and Golden Coast Track Club, won her third national title in 4:32.30 at the USATF 1 Mile Road Championships presented by Toyota as part of the Grand Blue Mile presented by Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Des Moines, Iowa. Lipari, 29, who also secured the road mile crown in 2018 and 2020 in Des Moines, rallied past Jenn Randall in the final 100 meters to move to within one title of four-time winner Heather Kampf (2012, 2014-16) for most in U.S. history.
