Bryce Hoppel stepped up to challenge himself with a mile to close out his season on Sunday at the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile presented by NYRR, running 4:01 for 18th place. Hoppel was fourth at last month's Olympic Games in the 800 meters final where he broke the American record.
