Texas A&M junior Lamara Distin cleared 6-3.50 (1.92m) to win the women's high jump title at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. Distin edged reigning champion and former teammate Tyra Gittens, now competing for Texas, who cleared 6-2.25 (1.89m). Texas A&M became the first women's team since Arizona in 2010-11 to win consecutive high jump titles with different athletes.
