Simone Plourde, a first-year professional athlete representing Nike Union Athletics Club and Canada, finished fourth n the fastest section of the women's invitational 5,000 meters in a lifetime-best 15:13.57 at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University's Cougar Stadium in Azusa, Calif. Plourde improved from her 15:21.19 effort at the Bryan Clay Invitational last year.
