James Sets School Record and Wins Long Jump on Day Two of MEAC ChampionshipPublished by
GREENSBORO, N.C. Sophomore LaRon James of the Savannah State University men's field team set the school record and won the long jump with a jump of 7.53 meters (24-8.5) on day two of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship, while freshman Abbas Abbkar of the men's track team set the school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.39 in the preliminary round to place fifth and to qualify for the finals.
