Frosh of the Week - Week 3 - DyeStatFL 2016Published by
Let’s take a look at the freshman class and see who we are honoring as FROSH of the week! Boys Freshman Rankings Girls Freshman Ranking Kayamo Galloway (Trinity Prep High School) Taking the top spot this week is Kayamo Galloway of Trinity Prep High School. Leading the freshman state rankings for a few weeks now, he drove his lead further when he dropped a personal-best of 16:46 to finished fourth at the Hagerty Invite. Last year he finished third at the 2A cross country state meet, and finished in 16:42 at Nike Cross Nationals! He’s already had some success, and he’s poised to have even more under coach Vinal continuing to run for the Trinity Prep crew, who’ve been known always have a solid distance program. Alexandra Del Re (Jupiter High School) This week’s winner on the girl’s side is Alexandra Del Re of Jupiter High School. You may remember seeing her on our ROTW piece as well, and you’d be right, you did! Alexandra had such a fantastic performance that we decided to put her on both lists! Kudos to you Alexandria! We don’t usually do this! Even better, DyeStat has listed Alexandra's performance as one of the best in their national Performance of the Week Poll - You can see the entries and vote for Alexandra HERE. To recap, she’s a freshman (obviously) and she’s pretty fast. She won the girl’s race at the Spanish River Cross Country Invitational in a solid personal-best of 18:11. Congratulations to all of our freshman runners who competed this weekend! We hope you ran a personal-best, or maybe even won the race! Run fast, trust your training, and keep an eye out to see who will be next week’s DyeStat Florida Freshman Of The Week! Remember, The Future Runs Now. More news |
