Five weeks already done folks! The train is leaving the station! Let’s see who peaked our interest this week, or who made their way to the top of our Cross Country rankings. See where you stack up!

Caleb Pottorff (Lincoln Park Academy High School)

This week’s winner on the boy’s side is Caleb Pottorff! Caleb worked his way up to the top of our list after he ran a new personal-best of 15:42 at the Spanish River Cross Country Invitational, winning the race as well.

Last fall, Pottorff finished second at the 2A cross country state meet in a time of 16:00, and later ran a then-personal-best of 15:52 at NXN Southeast.

In track last spring, we saw him finish second in the 2A 1600 at state, but we also watched him win the 3200 title in 9:16. Then, one week after the state meet, he throws down a personal-best of 4:16 at the Avery Creek Distance Showcase!

2A is setting up to be a very tight race! Keep watching and we’ll see who’ll take the state title in November!

Alexandra Del Re (Jupiter High School)

Alexandra Del Re: you might remember her name when we posted about her on Twitter being out at the USATF National Junior Olympics late last summer. Running for BTA Track Club as an eighth-grader at the time, Alexandria ran an incredible 9:54 3K to win the 13-14-year-old girl’s competition.

Now at Jupiter High School, Alexandra looks to keep leaving her mark. She won the girl’s race at the Spanish River Cross Country Invitational in a solid personal-best of 18:11.

Even cooler is the fact that athletes who make it on our lists of ROTW or FOTW are on one or the other. However, this week, Alexandra has made it on both! Amazing! (CLICK HERE)

Congratulations to all of our runners who competed this weekend! We hope you ran a personal-best, or maybe even won the race! Run fast, trust your training, and keep an eye out to see who will be next week’s DyeStat Florida Runners Of The Week!
