Moving From Brentwood to Fort Worth Has Not Slowed Carter Cheeseman DownPublished by
Two-Time Tennessee State Cross Country Champion Now Winning Races in TexasBy Adam Kopet Carter Cheeseman was the top runner for Brentwood Academy TN for two years. He won the TSSAA D2-AA State Cross Country Championships as a freshman and a sophomore. However, the Cheeseman family moved to Fort Worth, Texas, as mentioned by Chip Cerillo of the Brentwood Home Page, this summer and Cheeseman is now a junior at Fort Worth Christian. The move has not slowed Cheeseman down. He is undefeated in two races so far this season, having won the Southlake Carroll Cross Country Invitational and the Keller Classic. He ran 14:42 in the 5-kilometer race in the latter. Fort Worth Christian competes in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. That means Cheeseman will not compete for a Texas UIL State Championship, but he will still be eligible to compete at NXR South and Foot Locker South. Cheeseman has postseason experience. As a sophomore, he finished 12th at NXR Southeast. More news |
