Allie Kieffer Wins Doha Half Marathon, Mo Farah Does Not Start

Allie Kieffer won the 2018 Ooredoo Doha Half Marathon on Friday, finishing in 1:10:40. She made her racing debut for Oiselle.

RESULTS

Kieffer won over Great Britain's Gemma Steele by 1:56. Emma Bates finished third in 1:12:52.

The men's race was won by Kenya's Alex Kibet in 1:01:53. Abdi Abdirahman was the top American finisher in fifth, running 1:03:18.

Mo Farah did not race as scheduled. David Monti reports that Farah warmed up for the race in Doha, but decided not to race due to Achilles tendon discomfort.

Just Confirmed: @Mo_Farah did not start the #OoredooHalf on Friday morning in Doha. He warmed up, but feeling Achilles discomfort he decided not to start.
