Why Omar McLeod Loves the HurdlesPublished by
Omar McLeod Loves the HurdlesBy Adam Kopet In an IAAF article by Steve Landells, Omar McLeod explains why he loves the hurdles. McLeod has won the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles and the 2016 Olympics and 2017 IAAF World Outdoor Championships in the 110-meter hurdles. He broke the Jamaican record for the 110 hurdles, running 12.90 last year. For McLeod, hurdling came naturally to him from the moment he first tried the event. But his drive to be better comes from his mindset in races, namely that nothing else matters, even whatever happens in the lane next to him. Externally, McLeod also want to show that Jamaica can produce more than just flat sprinters, something he demonstrates successfully. More news |
