Florida's Coach Mike Holloway Signs 10-Year Contract ExtensionBy Adam Kopet The University of Florida announced Wednesday that head track and field coach Mike Holloway has signed a 10-year contract extension. Holloway, 58, has coached at Florida since 1996. He took over head coaching duties of the men's team in 2003 and the women's team in 2008. Under Holloway, the Gators have won eight national titles. Additionally, the men's team has finished in the top two in 20 of the 31 NCAA national competitions for which he has been the head coach. The Florida men won the 2018 NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships and both the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships. The contract extension lasts through June 30, 2028.
